Scott Middleton, Executive Director
Scott is the inaugural Executive Director of the Marine Park Alliance. He is dedicated to creating a more livable, resilient, and equitable New York City through stewardship of our invaluable parks and open spaces.
For more than a decade, Scott has worked in parks, transportation, and community planning in the public and private sectors. Scott holds a Master of City Planning and an Environmental Planning Certificate from MIT, as well as a B.A. from Brown University.
Elliot Ma, Program and Communications Manager
As Program and Communications Manager, Elliot develops environmental education programs, public events, and communications that connect people with Marine Park’s unique natural resources. He holds a B.S. in Marine Biology from Hawaiʻi Pacific University and an M.A. in Applied Ecology from Stony Brook University. Before joining Marine Park Alliance, Elliot worked with organizations including the City Parks Foundation, Brooklyn Bridge Park Conservancy, Billion Oyster Project, and the Wildlife Conservation Society, and collaborated with Yo-Yo Ma’s Our Common Nature project to help connect audiences with the marine environment through music and storytelling. In his free time, he enjoys exploring Marine Park in search of horseshoe crabs, ospreys, and other local wildlife.
Carri Knorr, Volunteer Engagement Coordinator
Born and raised in Marine Park, Carri brings her love of nature, green spaces, planting, and her community to her role as Volunteer Engagement Coordinator. She coordinates MPA’s hundreds of dedicated volunteers and takes pride in creating a welcoming experience where everyone feels appreciated, connected, and inspired to make a difference.
With more than 25 years of experience in real estate, Carri brings a strong background in customer service, marketing, and administration. She is passionate about giving back to the community she calls home and bringing people together to help make Marine Park a greener, stronger, and better place for everyone.
